Gobindobhog rice is a fragrant, heirloom short-grain rice from West Bengal, India, traditionally grown in the fertile alluvial plains of the Damodar Valley. Named after Lord Govind Ji, the "ishta-devta" of the Sett's ) a trading community) of Calcutta it is cherished for its sweet, buttery aroma and soft texture.
